The ideal candidate will be a Level 1 Assistant Buyer and branded experience is essential.

• Supporting the Buyer to help build a commercially viable product range across multiple brands that reflects the schuh brand image and current trends

• Attending brand appointments with the Buyer, supporting with product selections

• Working closely with the Merchandising team to achieve target sales and profit plan alongside the Buyer

• Can display a sound understanding of their department strategy and how they can directly impact and shape it

• Are able to use sales and performance information to suggest areas for maximising trading opportunities

• Understands market with strong trend and competitor awareness

• Support the strategic direction of the partnership with all brands

• Creates and actively maintains strong relationships with all brands

• Adapts ways of working and communication with each brand accordingly

• Strong negotiation skills

• Managing and supporting any BAA’s on the team

• Ambassador for the Buying team, working closely with-Retail/Marketing/Ecommerce/Merchandising, building strong relations with all stake holders

• Presenting ranges to other areas of the business confidently

• Supporting the Buyers/Buying Manager/HOB/Buying Director in any other areas required

• Excellent organisation and communication skills

• Preparing for meetings through creating presentations and running reports

• Ensure all communication adheres to the GDPR policies

• Work with own initiative and as part of the wider team

• Understand and comply with the Company’s Health & Safety policy & procedures
