Accounting Assistant

Description

A position has opened up for a suitable candidate with at least 10 years’ experience and with at least 3 contactable, work related, references. Experience in the following is an absolute must – any responses not clearly identifying this experience will be ignored :
-       Bookkeeping (to trial balance) and VAT
-       Multi currency accounting experience will be a positive
-       Preparation of management account
-       Payroll and submission of returns to SARS
-       Drafting of annual financial statements and relevant year end reconciliations
-       Income Tax returns for both companies and individuals as well as supplementary returns, ie IT14SD
-       Experience in dealing with SARS matters such as objections / offers of compromise will be an advantage
-       Strong excel skills
-       Intimate knowledge of a range of accounting packages esp Sage and Xero
