Product Owner (Event Portal)

Description

  • Help define the business priorities including negotiation and optimization of multiple trade-offs.
  • Maintain a strong sense of accountability and ownership of the product.
  • Define and execute the product roadmap, including defining requirements, writing epics and user stories, and prioritizing initiatives.
  • Work closely with the squad, attending stand-ups, sprint planning, and high-level estimating.
  • Ensure that the product achieves Solace's high-quality standards by actively participating in user story acceptance
  • Understand and scope out competitive service offerings to identify key differentiators.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables internally and with clients.
  • Consider how to effective price the products you own to drive adoption and customer growth.

Responsibilities

  • Has a strong technical background architecting or leading modern event driven digital projects and deep knowledge of event streaming.
  • Is committed to agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Have experience using or are familiar with REST APIs, REST API Gateways and/or OpenAPI. 
  • Has 7+ years of relevant industry experience and 1-3 years of experience in product management.
  • Have experience building or architecting a software as a service (SaaS).
  • Are a person who deeply cares about the customers, ease of use, and business value.
  • Are an excellent communicator who can explain complex technical ideas and can effectively engage with peers, team members, and external customers.
  • Have a proven track record of exceptional judgement on business vs technical tradeoffs.
  • Are a team player with attention to detail and a knack for creative problem solving.
  • Have the vision to think strategically but can make quick tactical decisions when needed.
