Sales Account Manager - Flavors

Description

  • Leverage existing contacts and identify new customer opportunities in line with company market positioning.
  • Manage accounts and provide direction to sales team to ensure aggressive account penetration, project pipeline development and a high level of customer service.
  • Develop and maintain effective sales forecasts and territory plans; visit clients, network within the industry, organize and participate in trade shows.
  • Work with team to facilitate resolution of complaints, troubleshooting product supply chain problems.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends and technical developments that affect ingredient market, target customer markets, and dedicated/strategic accounts.
  • Interpret market and consumer trends in food, beverage and nutrition categories.
  • Provide detailed information on current and prospective customers, competitors and trends in segment within region.

Responsibilities

  • High level of organizational and planning skills.
  • Specific experience in ingredient sales to: food and beverage, fragrance, personal care, cosmetics.
  • Quick learner, intellectually curious and a problem solver.
  • Ability to work independently with strong relationship building and working well in cross functional, multi-cultural teams.
  • Work well in an environment with low structure and relatively flat organization.
  • Energy, creativity, with strong execution and follow up are must for this role.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Fluent in English; other languages a big plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in food related science, including food science, chemistry and/or biology required; other degrees and business credentials will be highly considered.
