Description

Translate material utilizing specific domain and client terminology to ensure consistency during translation utilizing style guides and brand requirements.

Edit and proofread material translated by others including external partners.

Coordinate translation projects, manage deliverables for projects, report statuses and direct work between internal translators and external language service providers based on requirements.

Modify the layout of text and images in desktop publishing software to fit translated material.
-
Collaborate with service owners, continuous improvement specialists and other translators to select, scope and implement improvements.

Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies
-
Experience with presentation, spreadsheet and word processing applications

Clear writing style with advanced spelling and grammar skills
-
3+ years of professional experience in translating
-
Master's degree or other post-secondary degree in translation or linguistics
-
Project management training or experience
-
Professional experience in translating
-
TEM-8 and/or CATTI Level 2 certificate(s)

Experience in interpretation
