The innovation group of Barco’s Healthcare Division, is a team focused on bringing successful innovations into the healthcare market. This multidisciplinary team explores and delivers new innovations that truly can have a market impact, not only for Barco Healthcare but also for healthcare professionals, patients and society. 

 

The innovation group takes care of the entire innovation cycle: ideation and MVP definition, market evaluation and business case creation, R&D and clinical work for creation of proof of concepts and solutions, market and clinical validation of the solutions, business model and business plan creation, up to commercial introduction and early pilot sales.

Cornerstone of the innovation group is the balanced attention for both technical/clinical and business aspects. Via strong and constant interaction with potential customers, stakeholders and patients, the business potential and appropriate business models and go-to-market are constantly evaluated and finetuned during all phases of innovation projects. 

 

We are looking for a Product Manager to join this team

 

Your profile: 

  • You have a higher degree combined with relevant professional experience in product management/marketing or innovation management 
  • You ideally have affinity or experience in a healthcare (related) market
  • You have strong business acumen & an innovation mindset
  • Your communication & interpersonal skills enable you to successfully team up with different stakeholders (internally & externally).
  • You are a self-starter with a can do attitude.
  • You are fluent in English.
  • You are willing to travel max 10% of your time (post covid).

Responsibilities

  • You will be in the lead of market and commercial activities. 
  • Based on gathered market insights you will, together with internal and external stakeholders, explore and finetune possible solutions. Periodic workshops and interactions with customers and end-users are an important tool. 
  • Once innovation projects are started, upstream marketing activities will help you to push and finetune value propositions in the right direction and select appropriate business models and go-to-market approaches that will maximize commercial impact. 
  • Over time, as innovation projects mature and solutions are commercially released, you will closely engage with pilot customers for validation of both MVP as well as business models and go-to-market.
  • In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to help shaping and steering innovation activities for Barco Healthcare, and you will have an influence on what novel innovations will enter the market and be used by healthcare professionals and patients in the years to come.
