The Marketing team is the key driver of italki’s business. Our campaigns span through online channels (social media, content, digital ads, email, blogs, publications, affiliate networks, public relations, etc). Being an internet-based business focused on a global market, it is essential that we keep growing and improving our marketing strategy by channeling fresh, innovative ideas and putting them into action.

Italki is growing very fast and with growth, comes ambiguity and change. To be successful in this role, you must be a highly motivated, results-driven and proactive individual with a strong balance of analytical, technical and communication skills. The Digital Marketing Manager will focus on multiple facets of italki’s expansion plan in Europe and will be working closely with the Region lead on carrying out the execution.

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related.
  • Min of 5 years experience in paid digital marketing - specifically social, search, and display, with a focus on acquisition.
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and comfortable with managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • An entrepreneurial, owner’s mentality. A self-starter who takes initiative, can work without supervision and suggests projects proactively.
  • Demonstrated success planning, executing and measuring marketing campaigns in leading digital platforms. Proven expertise in building marketing strategies from scratch and executing being very hands on. You are creative and customer focused.
  • Experience with traffic, social, data analytics and attribution tools (e.g Google Analytics, data visualization tools) with the ability to provide detailed analysis and actionable recommendations based on data.
  • Natural ability for numbers, with strong math and analytical skills in order to make intelligent evidence-based decisions.
  • Familiarity with European consumers.
  • Must be native in German, Italian or French - and fluent in English.
  • Excellence in presentation, spoken and written skills in English.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete project management of Regional marketing campaigns, BAU (Business as usual) and seasonal campaigns. Responsible for development, execution and analysis of performance and brand marketing campaigns throughout the Europe region. Assets creation with internal and external creatives, videography, and content teams.

 

  • Digital Marketing campaigns handling – get involved with all aspects - planning, conception, communications, compliance reviews, timeline management, marketing tools preparation, presentation and working closely with respective teams, execution, evaluation and reporting of communication activities efficiency. 
  • Strong focus on PPC, Paid Social, Display, YouTube and SEO. Develop, monitor and optimize actions and campaigns to increase acquisition.
  • Other secondary areas of work: Affiliates, Native ads, Influencers, Partnerships. 
  • Identify growth opportunities, explore new strategies and channels’ initiatives such as mobile or lead generation campaigns.
  • Conduct A/B tests to continuously optimize campaigns and channels performance.
  • Work with a cross-functional team of Engineers, Designers and Analysts to drive and prioritize product localization and to deliver impact for our business. Understand user needs; identify and define regional product requirements. 

 

  • Pull and analyze reports to evaluate performance, set and communicate key business metrics, and translate insights into actionable changes. Provide weekly reports to management and monthly analysis of the results. Deliver on revenue and budget targets for assigned digital marketing channels and programs. Proactively recommend modifications to existing strategy to improve the paid media performance

 

  • Customer segmentation and audience building. Market research and competitor analysis.

 

  • Seek and understand current industry trends/technologies to stay up to speed and ahead of the competition.
